Lion Wall Decor
Do you want to know why Leonard Lion looks so powerful and proud in that impressive wall décor in a frame?
Well he should. Everyone in this room, the pillows, the comforter, the bed sheets, the curtains, respect him as the King of this Jungle. Is it because he has all that hair in the mane around his big head? Is it because everyone fears his loud roar?
When Leonard was small he never knew he would be a King one day. As a lion cub he loved to romp and play with his brothers and sisters; and his friends. Just like you?
As Leonard grew older, he discovered there was something powerful about him. He knew he was strong. He discovered that he also had a loud roar. At first, when he would roar, the other animals would roll over laughing at his puny, squeaky sounds. But something in Leonard told him to keep practicing. Although he could only groan instead of growl, he could feel a power, a force building inside him.
One night, he opened his mouth and just roared. The ground shook so much that even his Dad and his Mom fell over. They looked at him and realized that he was now a strong man. They explained to him that it was time for him to head out from home and find some land for himself where he could have authority over his own family and the animals in that space. Boldly he strutted out into the dark until he found a good place. He found a lioness named Linda who became his wife and the mother of his children. He got to know the other animals in his patch and they soon learned that when he roared, danger kept away from them. They immediately accepted him as their King.
When you look up at Leonard Lion, remember that it can be like this for you too. Right now you love to romp and play with your friends. Soon you will go to school and you will grow up to be a young person. If you feel a power inside you, don’t be afraid. Let it grow.
Some humans, like Leonard Lion, discover their own voice and it grows into a roar of their own. They become like kings to the people around them because they lead them and protect them from harm.
Some people become powerful speakers and lead as teachers or people who make laws. Some people become powerful singers, musicians, artists, sports athletes, dancers, scientists, explorers. They become leaders for their special group.
Listen for that developing roar within you as you grow. You too might be the ‘Lion’ in a group one day.
