Gorilla Wall Décor
Look up at Graham Gorilla in his wall décor frame on your wall. What do you notice about the way he is walking?
He’s not walking on two legs like you do. He’s actually walking on his legs and his hands – on all fours. Do you think that is strange?
Graham Gorilla can be the gentlest animal. Gorillas love to cuddle their kids in their big, powerful arms. Graham Gorilla can be quite frightening when you approach his home and he doesn’t know you. He stands tall on his legs and beats his big chest with his powerful long arms. His loud grunts are very scary and keep people away from harming his children and the other Gorillas in his family.
So why is he walking on all fours in this wall décor frame?
Well, Olive Ostrich and Chase Cheetah, challenged Graham Gorilla to a race. Graham is getting ready for the Jungle Olympics. He actually thinks that he can beat those two very fast runners. Graham is trying to use his big brain. He knows that he must try out some special tricks to beat Olive Ostrich and Chase Cheetah in the race. He knows that he needs to get off to a very fast start. He has seen how famous runners get off to a fast start by crouching down low and pushing themselves up to blast out of their starting blocks.
Graham thinks this will help him get ahead and win the race. Do you think it’s possible for a Gorilla to beat an Ostrich or a Cheetah in a race? Probably not! That does seem silly, doesn’t it?
Sometimes your friends may challenge you to do things which you really shouldn’t do. Will you bend to their teasing? If you really use your head, and think properly, you will only do the things that make sense to you. If you’re not sure about something, you can always ask your parents’ opinion. Don’t try to change the good person you are, to try to be better than someone else in something that just does not make sense.
