“Arrrh!” I see you looking at me down here on this pirate floor pillow. You had better be careful. I am the banished pirate captain, Patrick. Yes, I’m Captain Patrick Pirate. People used to fear me, especially when they heard my wooden peg leg thumping on their ships’ decks or clacking on the streets outside their homes.
“Arrrh!” The pirates of today are soft! They just love adventure and fun. In my day we would plunder ships and cities and steel their treasure. That’s why they banished me.
So here I lie on this floor pillow. Do you know why there is a floor pillow in your room? Well when my pirate’s attacked a city, we would party all night and drink all the beer in the city. Soon I would begin to wobble on my wooden leg and fall over. I couldn’t move so I would have to sleep on the floor wherever I fell. So now there is always a pillow on the floor of a pirate room for someone who is too tired to climb into bed.
Oh! You’re pointing to the parrot? That’s an African Grey parrot my crew found sitting on the back deck of my ship one stormy night. I was down below after a big dinner at sea and much too much beer. I had fallen asleep on the floor when the ship’s chef brought in the parrot and placed it on the floor next to me. It snuggled in close to my neck like kittens do when they sleep. I snored all night thinking it was a kitten. I patted it a few times saying: “Good Kitty, Kitty.”
It was fine until the early morning when I squeezed the parrot too tightly. She bit me on the nose. I jumped up with fright expecting to see a large cat. Instead I saw this feathery thing waddling towards me.
“What are you?” I yelled. “I thought you were a kitty, kitty."
The parrot answered: “Meeouw!”
So ever since then her name has been: “Kitty, Kitty” and you will always find her on my shoulder. She has told me many interesting stories as well. I never go anywhere without her.
The outer shell is supersoft polyester and measures 20 inches x 26 inches x 2 inches. The shell has a zipper for cleaning. The pillow insert cover is 100% cotton with sterilized poly fill.
Shell is machine washable. Remove pillow and machine wash cold water and tumble dry on low.
