Pirate Drawer Pull Knobs
What fun you can have if you have the pirate drawer pull knobs. You can have different pull knobs on each drawer of your chest of drawers. You can even change them around when you want. If you don’t yet own the pull knobs, ask your Mom and Dad to think about getting them.
Drawer pull knobs serve an important purpose. When you go to your drawer, you first look at the pull knobs as you clutch them tightly before opening the drawer. The faces on the knobs remind you of different things.
Captain Percy reminds you that sometimes you have to step up and be a captain. Sometimes you will be called on to lead your friends – especially if you need to lead them away from doing something bad, that might get them into serious trouble. You need to be ready when you must be the captain.
As you take a firm hold on Gavin Gunner, think about sometimes having to defend your friends. If other kids want to harm any of your friends, sometimes it will be necessary for you to step up and ask them to leave your friends alone. Because Gavin Gunner is a friendly pirate, he doesn’t look for fights. He certainly doesn’t start a fight. Usually, he points out to people that starting a fight only ends up in the people who started the fight getting hurt – when parents or teachers find out about it.
The Pull Knobs have two characters you haven’t met yet. The one with the wide hat with the skull and cross bones on the front and the huge bow tie around his neck is Basil Bowtie. When you clutch the pull knobs on his drawer, he reminds you to always dress well and look nice.
Then there’s One Eyed Evan. You will always recognize him from the patch on his eye and the red bandana around his head. When you clutch the pull knobs on his drawer, it makes you think that sometimes you must turn a blind eye to things. If you know that other people are doing bad things, don’t go over to see what they are doing. If you go over, there is always the danger that you all get caught, and people think that you were doing the bad things too.
